Wow. Now THIS looks good. The true (not leftist, Marxist, Ken Loach-washed) history of the Spanish Civil War based on the word of the very man who fought it and triumphed. Gen. Franco (a personal hero of mine) saved an entire nation from the threat of socialist/communist takeover in the 30's, used Hitler and Mussolini's weapons for his own advantage, denied Hitler influence in Spain, then brought Spain into the modern age as a strong, capable, and patriotic leader. He did all this and more, and he lived to tell the tale.

So what I'd like to know, from anyone that can tell me, is...

Where can an old Franco-phile (Ha!) residing in the United States get a copy of this movie? VHS or DVD isn't a problem for me.

Any help on finding the movie will be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I won't respond to any dribbling communist nonsense, so take that game elsewhere.

Sorry to break your heart (Ha Ha), but I'm still "officially" retired from the IMDB boards. I check up on the movies I watch here, of course, but I don't post anymore unless I REALLY have something to say, or a question to ask. Despite a few good guys such as yourself, I find that the tone of the boards is far too nasty about silly things ("No, you suck ass. The Matrix rules, etc."), and far too Ignorant about political or social issues ("I'm a Marxist cauze it's kool to steal, hyuck hyuck, etc."). You can only try to convert/help/debate for so long before you just give up the ability of many regular IMDB posters to think sensibly.

No, I'm not back. All props to you for fighting the good fight here, but with my limited free time and better web chatsites to visit (such as the absolutely brilliant Freerepublic.com), the IMDB boards just can't compete.

How can people say these thing of a fascist dictator like franco in the 21th century. Please see these film like another film, a fascist film, yes but a film. It is interesting to see all the ideologies, but i cant understand how cant exist fascist people

My "dear" boy, I cannot understand how people like YOU can exist. Fascism exists because it has given many good things to humanity, not like Marxism or liberalism. And Franco wasn´t a dictator. He was a leader loved by most of his people. That´s the true. Stop talking nonsense and learn a little bit of history before spitting your rubbish, you nerd!

I supose that you are spanish, like me, but im going to tell you that in english.

What has given Franco to spain???......autarqy, represion, poorness, and evoltuion?????......jajaj.....The longest dictatorship, that has given to spain nothing but underdevelopment

And i have to say that i have learned a lot of history, i love the history , in speciall from the XX century. i know a lot, a have read a lot, and i have watch a lot of documental of the war, and fascism.

I understand that rich people like fascism, because it is good for they, but that a normal person like that..............it is a bit absurd.

I have to say to you: think please. Fascism is violence, war, poornes, and a privation of freedom
