In the World Series game at Sportsman's Park in St. Louis when Lou Gehrig homered twice, the home runs were in different innings that depicted in the movie. And, contrary to what the movie claimed, Babe Ruth had no home runs in that particular game.

I'll never watch this movie again!

This came about because Sam Goldwyn thought it would be more interesting. Well, he was entitled to his opinion.
In fact, there was only one World Series game in which Ruth homered and Gehrig hit two homers. It was the third game of the 1932 Series against the Cubs, in Wrigley Field, Chicago--the "called shot" game. Ruth hit two home runs--his last two World Series hits--and Gehrig also hit two home runs.
