I am watching Powder Town on TCM right now. It is a comedy with Edmond O'Brien and Victor McLaglen. There are also some very attractive girls in this one. Typical WWII B-comedy, not too bad but not too good either. An OK way way to spend a rainy Monday morning.
sharecouldn't have said it better myself....watching it too right now, too. O'Brien was a really good actor...good enough to carry a picture on his own, but I think the only ones he ever had lead roles in were these types of B pictures. He was also a fantastic supporting actor in several "A" movies, too...."The Barefoot Contessa" with Bogie and Ava Gardner, for example.
There sure were a lot of espionage agents running around the homefront back then....who knew? :-)
