He appears in quite a few of his films. Never as a "Hitchcock style director cameo" but just because they needed someone to do a job and he was available when nobody else was.

Remember than most of his films were made during WWII when many young men were enlisted into the armed forces. Or because they were made with a small budget and it wasn't worth hiring another actor for the small role.

Remember also that when Micky was learning his craft under Rex Ingram in Nice he did every job he could, and that included acting in The Magician (1926)

In his own films he appears in:
Hotel Splendide (1932)
The Edge of the World (1937)
An Airman's Letter to His Mother (1941) [voice]
One of Our Aircraft Is Missing (1942)
The Volunteer (1944)
Luna de miel (1959) [voice]
Peeping Tom (1960)

However, he did not appear in The Small Back Room (1949) despite the IMDb saying that he appeared as a Gunnery Officer. He didn't. It was a mistake in an early filmography.
