Shades of Future Roles

I was amazed at James Mason's performance in Terror House. Up until then, I believe he had played the straightforward hero type of roles with the possible exception of The Mill on the Floss. However, in Terror House shades of Lord Rohan and Nicholas flash before your eyes. That "sexy sadism" thing of his was on full display to be refined over the next several years of his career. I really liked him in the role and thought he did a great job.
