Sloppy

This movie is worth a watch.
Especially if you are a fan of both Bob Hope and Hitchcocks 39 steps.
But it plays more like a TV skit parody.
Very sloppy directing and or editing.
I guess some folks were just "cranking" stuff out back then.

precursor to My Favorite Spy & My Favorite Brunette; I've been waiting for Turner Classic to show this one for a couple years.... It looks like this one IS avail on DVD as a double-bill with Star Spangled Rhythm. If the edits are that bad, maybe that explains why TCM doesnt show it very often...?

update Dec 20 2010: bought the dvd....not so bad... keep your eyes out for some well known supporting cast members. Dick Elliot (the Mayor, on Andy Griffith) is the stage door attendant, and "Alfalfa" Switzer (Little Rascals) is Frederick, the troubled boy who shows a lack of respect to his elders. Seems to have been fixed up for dvd release.
