Embarrassingly bad...
My Comcast program description stated it was a "top-notch Bob Hope farce." Makes me wonder how bad some of his less-notch farces might be. I thought Bob Hope was pretty funny when I was a kid, but perhaps I outgrew him. I can certainly see how influenced Woody Allen was by Hope, except I think Woody did a much better job with his ad-libs. For me the best scenes were the ones where he made non-specific references to Bob Hope, as well as the cameo by Bing Crosby, who by the way I am still a huge fan of. Nobody could deliver a wise-crack like Bing and still look very cool doing it. Never saw but one Road picture, I believe it was the last one, Road to Hong Kong.
