Terrific isolated house mystery!

I always love a nice, old fashioned isolated house mystery, with a lot of "skeletons in the closet", blackmail, etc. As long as it's fiction, of course. 

I didn't care for it. The write-up for it sounded good but then I saw it was played for laughs and I lost interest. Still, it was better than some of the ones that "Movies!" channel show from the 80s and 90s......

Some of the humor involving the cop was poor, but I enjoyed the overall story.
