OMG! Why is this movie not more well known?

A seldom seen classic that deserves better treatment and consideration.

Why this is not currently in print is beyond me.

It is now out on dvd. Thank God. I've watched this constantly over the years and never grow tired of it. A true classic. I love the " $9.75 " scene where Edward G. Robinson sells and wraps the suitcase for the customer.

Because it is rather dull and predictable. Very slow moving as well...

Not very funny either.

Edward G. is great as usual but he really deserves a better script than this.

This is an incredibly funny movie - a real treat. That scene mentioned earlier where Eddie G. "gift wraps" the bag is absolutley hilarious. Broderick Crawford delivers one funny line after another. Another great sequence is when the bothersome lady from across the street says to Eddie G. "Oh, you must come to my shop and see my lingerie sometime", and Eddie G. quickly says, "Yes, and you must stop by and see my trunks", while pushing the door shut on her. Oh man, that's funny.

I was cracking up during those scenes, too. This film made me laugh so much my face hurt.

How well do you know classic movies....!!!

Can't is dead...Tried killed it.

I enjoyed the stars, and I always like the Warner Bros. style of fast-paced storytelling. But the comedy was strained, and the plot was predictable.
