most beautiful love scene

I just witnessed the most beautiful love scene between Robert Cummings
and Betty Field--Cummings arrives at her house in the middle of a lightning storm--Field lets him in, they kiss- the lightning is raging, she slowly
shuts every lamp , till there is total darkness, she crosses the room only
lit by brilliant flashes of lightning and falls into Cummings embrace-
the beautiful Korngold score swells, and this scene is a wonder to behold~
and NO dialogue.

Yes, it is very good indeed.

And there is no doubt in the viewers mind to what Drake is refering to in the next scene because of the love scene-
What a director had to do to get around Production Code

I figured Parrish and the girl had sex, or almost did . You could tell be his reaction, and the way Drake was acting.

For me it was more about passion, long-delayed, dammed-up passion, even lust. I know it was love when they were children, but so many years have passed and they have changed so much, that it didn't seem like a renewal of love so much as sheer lust. Remember how the scene begins? Parris look in the window and sees only Cassie's shapely leg. Sexy stuff.

It gave me literal goosebumps. And no nudity - imagine that?
