Why does it keep showing, and letting you hear, a spotted hyena? The striped hyena is the only one of the three (spotted, striped and brown)to exist in india?

I was wondering that, too.

They also had obvoius Golden Retriver-type puppies playing wolf cubs :P You would think they would've been able to obtain some husky pups to fill in for the role.

It's true. They don't really care. My cousin's Grandpa played little Mowgli, and he is Mexican.

I think messing up someone's race is a little worse than using golden retrievers in place of wolf cubs, lol.

Still, that's just the magic of movies I guess.

They also have an orang-utan, which is Indonesian.

It doesn't really bother me... for all we know, it could simply be an Indian village in Malaya or Burma, it's not specified.
