They look so young to me now!

I just watched Holiday Inn for the first time in a few years and realized that Bing and Fred look young to me. I think Bing was 39 and Fred was 43 at the time of filming. I just turned 45. I never thought I'd be older than than them!!!

I also didn't realize that Holiday Inn was film over a decade before White Christmas, which adds to my surprise. I thought they were filmed just a few years apart.

" a decade before White Christmas,"

A lot was going on in the country during the shooting of "Holiday" most of it bad. There's a segment of the film where the "Freedom" number is sung which all but says 'war is just months away.'

Hate to break to ya, but we all age, and is even more apparent looking at photos and movies.

I've been broken in on this issue for some time now. It's still surprising when someone I thought was soooo much older suddenly looks so young, not just viewing films from my youth. I'm also not too thrilled when certain celebrities die now, even if I wasn't a big fan. As long as they were part of the zietgeist of my youth then their death means I'm getting in line soon. I don't like it.

It's also weird when you reach an age when you can remember your parents when they were younger than you are now. Or when you realize you're older than your grandparents were when you were born!
