Exterior Filming Location in Monte Rio, CA

Does anyone recall any scenes at the inn that looked like they were filmed outside at a real inn?

I skimmed through the movie and all I saw was fakey Hollywood set exteriors, nothing real, and yet the Village Inn in Monte Rio claims to be the filming location for certain scenes, and elsewhere I've read the film company brought in a lot of fake snow for filming.

But in watching the film it all appears to have been done on a soundstage, unless I missed something.

Perhaps the Village Inn was the inspiration for the inn in the film, but no scenes were actually filmed there? What do you think?

The Village Inn is lying. Maybe they think that since most everyone associated with the film is now gone, that no one will challenge their claim.

But your intuition is correct. The film was a 100% soundstage film. No real exteriors at all.

They're still making the spurious claim, on their website: http://villageinn-ca.com/about/.
