This film portrays Chinese as likable sissies. No Chinese men are shown fighting. Even the Chinese nurses don't get to change bandages. You wouldn't know from this movie that 4 million Chinese soldiers died in WWII. Yes they were badly led by Gen. Jiang but they were not cowards and they gave their lives for their country. Why didn't the filmmakers have the balls to show this, if they were really so sympathetic to China?

judging by your other posts regarding this movie, you seem bound and determined to not like it and convince the rest of us to do the same thing. This movie is about the Flying Tigers, not the Chinese soldiers or resistance. Watch China's Little Devils, Dragon Seed or some such for that.

shareBecause it's not what the film is about. The Chinese that were there were regular folks serving their country by helping the American flyers. Farmers, older men, and a couple of young guards. I realize that today's propensity towards over-developed senses of self importance drive people to assign themselves the role of advocates for "lesser beings" as you obviously see them but - as hard as it may be for you to accept - the world does not need you. Get a job, move out of mommy and daddy's house, and do your part to contribute to society instead of being a burden on it.
