hi, THE FIRST OF THE FEW is readily available in the UK on legitimate dvd, released by Slam Dunk Media (SDMD2043). As of this writing, the disc goes for less than £5 (Eur7.50) at several online stores; you can compare their prices through the engine at <www.find-dvd.co.uk/SDMD2043.htm>;.

Image and sound quality are fine (unlike the horrid 'public domain' disc of the bastardized SPITFIRE cut on the triple-feature "World War II Movies" disc from "timeless-video.com"). Hope this helped.

I've recently purchased the Slam Dunk version, as part of a package, and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the film - I was disappointed that the DVD had not been cleaned up/there were vertical lines/ok but not good sound, etc., which one is familiar with in movies of this vintage.
