Pearl Harbor - less than 10 months on (VERY Mild Spoiler)

Mild Mild Spoilers........

Not an original thought to compare film series such as CHARLIE CHAN, SHERLOCK HOLMES or THE FALCON to network TV series. Most of these film series were often low budget affairs shot quickly, economically and released as B movies.

Still, it's pretty remarkable how Pearl Harbor became a fairly major plot point in a feature film less than 10 months after the bombing (If the IMDb release date of October 2nd is accurate). More so, when one considers that they had to write, prepare, shoot, edit and publicize the film during those 10 months. And, in this case, they were also dealing with George Sanders' demand to be let out of the series.

Sure, it was a simpler time, and these series films were cranked out rapidly, but, it did stick out when watching it recently.

The films were quickies and also mild propaganda pieces hence why they incorporated Pearl Harbour,
