Dr Renaults Secret THIS IS SCAREY FOLKS

im back the horror film historian and there are several horror films from the 40s that i can tell you still stand the test of time. Monster & The Girl, scarey with a ape youll never forget and death scenes of unsettling nature and now Dr Renaults Secret. Checks Trailer from Hell with John Landis he rates ths high but i knew it as a kid. J Carrol Naish is truly frightening and the people he kills die horrifying suble but frightening ways by the piercing look of the Naish monkey to man persona. This film had an atmosphere thats takes on a life of its own and you really fear the the though the very presence of Naish knowing that anyone can easily offend him and when they do be ready they will die HORRIBLY> Check out the fresh brash approach realistic timing of these deaths . the makeup is superior the music the very sets here are frightening to behold. you actually feel youre in on all of this and its no fun waiting to see Naish's next move. this great actor does it again. Noel is someone you prefer not to know. 65 years later wow what a film, i got it on dvd but i prefer not to watch it that much. i find it unsettling and a bit too gruesome to see even bad people die by the brute strengh of J Carrol Naish, aka Noel. I salute him and this film. it still holds it own all these years later. He was Daniell in House of Frankenstein and he was superb, doing his own death scene thrown off the roof i learned but De Renaults Secret J Carrol is the star hes everywhere we dont want him to be. Thanks til next time. look behind you Noel might be nearby. TOMK
