The Cat People saga

This and its sequel exist in a world of great magic.

Curses, animal transformations, witches, ghosts.

I actually appreciate what was done with the sequel.

So do I! While THE CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE is often underappreciated by viewers who expect a more conventional horror picture, its examination of a sensitive, neglected little girl who takes refuge within her imagination is of great value to me. In fact, it's one of my favorite sequels ever (and there sure aren't many on that list!) because of how well it avoids rehashing its precursor.

Most great films deserve a more appreciative audience than they get.

Perfectly stated and I feel the same... beautiful film!

Yes, this film and the second are both great. I'd actually go as far as to say that Curse of the Cat People is one of those rare sequels that surpasses the first film. It's just a beautiful movie. The story about loneliness and finally feeling like someone wants you and you're not alone in the world moves me each time I watch it.
