Is it sacrilege to say that he steals the film?
I love the movie, but for me PL is the best thing in it.

I get what you're saying; but since he was only in the film for a few minutes...I don't think so...from my POV.

No - PL was a terrific actor. He was 'born' in the age of silent movies - where you had to express your feelings through your facial expressions - his 'rubber face' remains - but he would never have won a game of pokers, even with a Royal Flush 😀.

Not quite as compelling as Bogart and Bergman to me, yet I believe he's still as memorable as anyone else in the film.
shareI am always sad that he gets arrested/killed right before he himself wanted to leave... he was scum but somehow you root for the guy
