Long time ago I saw a movie that could have been this one. Is this the one where one of the bush pilots (older than the rest of them) is trying to prove that he's not 'too old' and attempts to do a loop, but passes out from the G-force and is killed?

Ahhh...not exactly, but probably the same movie. There is a scene where the bush pilots are flying drunk and buzzing a military graduation ceremony and yes, when one of the pilots dives at the ceremony and pulls up too abruptly, he blacks out and crashes. They were buzzing the ceremony because when they tried to join the air force to be fighter pilots, they were told they were too old to be fighter pilots, as their reaction times would be slower compared to the much younger enemy pilots, and they could also black out on dives and such. So they were assigned prosaic duties as flight instructors and practice gunnery pilots, which of course they were none too happy with or could they accept it fully.
Yeah, that must be the same movie....I thought he was trying a loop, but it could have been just a steep dive.....and I remember they were mad about being told they were too old and that the authorities wanted them to be instructors and ferry pilots, but NO combat. Thanks.
