All the exterior shots, flying, woodlands etc.

Another Cagney movie with many similar typelocations was White Heat. Also would have been great in color.

I have to agree.
Unless this is actually a restoration then watching on TCM tonight it was really gorgeous with terrific skin tones and the natural shades of the aerial shots being most noticeable.

Come on lads, bags of swank!

More so the film was done in 1942. Meanwhile others would be making B&W films for another 10 or 15 years. I was quite surprised by this. And yes it looked awesome!!!

I just watched it on Blu Ray, and it is spectacular looking.

Yeah I was lucky to watch it in color. Looked gorgeous and the flying scenes were spectacular.
