screwed up credits?????

In the IMDb credits for "Bowery at Midnight" and the movie's credits, has John Archer listed as Richard Dennison, he did play Judy Malvern's (Wanda McKay) boyfriend, who's name was Richard. However the rich student in the Professor's class was named Dennison, who's mother was looking for him, he was killed while posing as a homeless person at the soup kitchen, killed later by Tom Neal (Frank Mills) did'nt get a credit. I wonder what his name was?

I think it was a pretty good movie, all things considered, with all those fine old actors getting some film credits.

It's the same character. Somehow he is brought back to life in the end!

i thought it was a bit unusual a movie of this age to see the main actor credited twice in different roles, alot of the bela lugosi movies seem to have strange background music, i think this is the first part i've seen him play where he has a wife. the scene when he just threw the match on the floor was funny.

while sweeping the chimney top,
took a break started playing a song,
slipped and fell down the ladder,
teeth all in shatter,
now can't cook nor eat from the stove at all.

That double credit for Bela Lugosi at the beginning threw me for a good part of the film. I thought that he might be playing two characters who were lookalikes. Then it was revealed that he was playing a man who was leading a double life. He does have a wife in another of his Monogram thrillers. 'The Invisible Ghost.'

Some of his Monogram films have the same music running through them. But that theme isn't used in this one.
