Laird Cregar

Mr. Cregar was nothing short of amazing in the role of Henry Morgan. I loved every scene he stole.

So tragic that he only lived to be 31 years old. He had a *very* powerful screen presence.

Laird is one of my favourite actors, so is George Sanders. Being both Fox heavies, they appeared in 3 movies together.

Morgan was a very interesting man and an ideal fit for his talents. I wish he'd been given more to do in the film.

This is the first film that I've seen him in. He reminds me visually of Raymond Burr. He has great screen presence so I look forward to catching more of him.

Burr said to be a fan of Laird's work. Have you seen him in 'Pitfall'? I'd say he gave a very Cregar-ish performance in it.

I look forward to seeing Raymond Burr in 'Pitfall.' Especially as I am a fan of 1940s noir. Sounds as though Burr may have imaged himself on Laird Cregar.

He was just soooooo good, wasn't he.

Crushing to think he died only a couple of years after this was made, and so, so young.
