George Sanders *rules* in this picture
Probably my favorite George Sanders role, along with The Portrait of Dorian Gray.
shareProbably my favorite George Sanders role, along with The Portrait of Dorian Gray.
shareDespite the heavy makeup, I think he's the actor who gets to shine the most. It's not a particularly original part, but he makes the most out of it: the libidinous looks he gives to Maureen.. priceless! And his final sword fight with Tyrone was very good.
shareHe's practically unrecognizable in the role. I never noticed how physically imposing he was when he played a cultured gentleman, but this film took advantage of his large frame and used it well.
shareI certainly didn't recognise him under that red beard at first. But it's his voice that gave him away eventually. The most physical role I've seen him play.
shareI'm quite a George Sanders fan, but I have to admit that I didn't even recognize him in this role...
