... I thought FLOWER was gay. No, not because he said he liked that name while giggling nor because he almost kissed BAMBI when he found him (that moment was very similar to the moment when he meets his mate). It's because of FRIEND OWL's pause: "[Falling in love] could happen to you and you and... yes, even you."

I think it was supposed to mean that even shy people (or in this case, skunks) can find love, as Flower is shown to be shy. It's not like being gay stops you falling in love, anyway.

Hope I don't sound like a troll, either.

It was a reference to him being a skunk. They stink which is unattractive. That is what the owl was getting at.

He isn't. Cause when they got older, he found a girlfriend just like Thumper and Bambi did.
