Predicting scene. SPOILERS

SPOILERS. DON'T READ THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ A SPOILER

The scene near the beginning of ZIegfeld girl is sort of a prediction for what happens later in the film. What happens is, SPOILER, Judy Garland makes the big time and becomes the star of the show, Hedy Lamarr quits and gets married with intentions to have kids, and Lana Turner turns to severe alcoholism, gets fired, and gets very sick. We see a little bit of a prediction of each of these events early on in the film when Ziegfeld's stage director is in the girls' dressing room right before the "You stepped out of a dream" number. He gives a speech to the girls. He says "some of you may make it big and see your name in neon lights", the camera shows on Judy Garland. Then he says " some of you may leave and go start a family", the camera shows on Hedy Lamarr. Then, "and some of you may turn out, well..not so good at all". Now I expected them to show Lana Turner but they didn't, and I'm assuming the film director decided that may be making things too obvious.
