at least in the guardhouse in this 1941 movie.

I'm watching the film right now. There were several scenes with Fred Astire tap dancing in the guardhouse while being accompanied by several African-American soldiers who were singing and playing musical instruments.

According to the IMDB credits page, these men were members of The Four Tones and The Delta Rhythm Boys.
