Same house as the 1959 'Imitation of Life' remake?

I just watched both this movie and the 1959 Lana Turner movie within days of each-other. And, I think the house used in both films is the same. Anyone else notice this?

Can anyone tell me for sure if it is?

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

This wonderful 40's California Bungalow style house was used over and over, just like the staircase in Antie Mama. I've seen the list once and I can't remember whether or not Imitation of Life was on there, but here are the ones I can remember off the top of my head: Bringing up Baby, Christmas in Connecticut, Gentleman's Agreement (Laura's Connecticut country home. I'm sure there are many more, but that's all I can think of now. There were some changes done here and there to accommodate each movie which makes me think it might have been in Imitation. One way to tell, there was always the fieldstone fireplace. Anybody else know of others?
