Such a bright, joyful musical!

Carmen Miranda steals the show, as usual. Her lively dance numbers, colorful costumes and funny mangled English are delightful. Cesar Romero is at his handsome, suave best. He and Miranda share some of the wittiest dialogue, and he has some funny run-ins with the heavy, Sheldon Leonard. I loved the bellhop, Leonid Kinskey. Funny guy.
Alice Faye is lovely and likable as usual.

If you ever get tired of our current world with all its problems, this little movie is a good escape. The Fox musical group is all here doing what they did best. A delightful little movie.

I agree...Carmen Miranda was absolutely hilarious! Good little escape from reality...the scene where the car went in the ditch and Nan and Jay had to take the hay ride back to the hotel under the stars was simply dreamy and romantic! Gee, what a swell picture!

Out of curiosity, how many lobby cards did you all get with the dvd? I got one and I'm wondering if there were more in other packages since I have another fox title that came with four.

The movie was great and I enjoyed the ingenious tricks to develop the plot such as the cigarettes with Cesar's initials.
