Charley Grapewin
Grapewin is excellent. I didn't know him for anything other than "The Wizard of Oz." He's deserving of some award recognition for the role.

shareWhat impressed me about Charley Grapewin was how very unrecognizable he was in the beard, and his weight seemed a lot more heavier than I recall him being in any other of his movies, "The Wizard of OZ" included. He really turned into the man he was playing, and it raised my estimation of his talent. It's too bad the character he was playing wasn't that much more than a hillbilly stereotype.
