Such an abrupt ending

I thought this was one of the wittiest most adult and intelligent romantic comedy I've seen on TCM. I thought why hadn't I heard more about this film? But then the ending was so abrupt it first left me wondering if my DVR left something out. But then most romantic comedies of that time period resolve itself too quickly (Holiday comes to mind.)

I was surprised I had never seen it before. It was very enjoyable and had those "Lubitsch touches". You could call the ending abrupt but I find it charming and wonderful of Lubitsch that once a situation has resolved itself, he doesn't keep us hanging around. The crisis was averted and the movie was ended. He doesn't dither around in Ninotchka either.
