Even when they tried to dowdy her up in a film or TV show, she was STILL a beautiful woman. Quite elegant.
She also stars in my favorite episode of The Twilight Zone, "Night Call."
In the early years of the 20th century she was one of the great beauties of the London stage.
shareI love Gladys Knight as the overbearing matriarch in "Now, Voyager". She was perfectly cast! And what varying characters she played. Looking over her filmography, I'm floored at how many of her roles have been in movies that are my favorites! I never realized who she was before, and didn't associate the same actress as having played all these characters whom I have seen and enjoyed over and over, in some of my very favorite movies. I don't know how she has stayed off my radar for so long.
