Quite a Ride

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

The last time I watched this movie was 45 years ago on late night TV. Seeing it again was a real pleasure. This is a real rootin' tootin' old time Western. What separates it from the herd is the humor mixed with drama. The fight scene at the beginning, Danny fleeing from his pursuers through the Sheriff's house while he is in the bathtub, cattle stampeding through the Sheriff's bathroom.

Then there is Edgar Buchannan's character, "Doc". One of his best roles.

The movie lacks the fine drawn craft of John Ford's Westerns but it still should be on the list of good old style Westerns.
