William Holden doesn't look or sound like William Holden

I think he looks like himself, just a lot younger. The long, free-flowing hair, casual style, and thinner frame might have thrown you off. Later in his career, he was usually well dressed and groomed. His hair was shorter and slicked back and he had that air of suave sophistication. In this movie Glenn Ford has pretty much the same look as we're used to seeing throughout his career; he was just a whole lot younger.
