WAS HITCH IN THIS FILM?

He usually is but we didn't spot him? Did you?

This is an unrelated comment but I thought Fontaine's clothes in the latter part of the film were too elaborate and overdone for an Englishwoman from the county. The outfit she wore to the small dinner party was fabulous and over the top for an intimate dinner. Such a dowdy woman, as she was at the beginning of the film, might change and become more fashionable when married to a Cary Grant character, but not to that extent. Even her jewelry was terrific. If she'd been a Parisenne who was dressed by courtierers, I could accept that without question.

The clothes designer for the film should have been monitored more closely.

I didn't spot him while watching either but the trivia page says he can be seen mailing a letter at the post office at about 45 minutes in.

I think it's him at the 49 minute mark mailing a letter.

For some reason, Hitch made it so he's not easy to spot. I had to rewind and pause to notice him.

I didn't realize it until I watched the documentary that was on the DVD where he was in the film. As the posters above me have said, he is mailing a letter in the background.
