Worst...Icicles...Eve r...Award

I thought that this movie was very annoying, but the funniest thing about it was the incredibly poor icicles manufactured for the story's climactic ending - it looked as though starched rags were used to simulate icicles.

I fully agree!! They were inconsistent too. Some looked fairly real but there was one scene where they looked more like rags hanging from a board. To me they took something away from the film because when those guys were up on the girders I never got the feeling that they were up high even though there is a scene where you see a big ship passing underneath them.

Another thing just came into my mind. Do they really have sleet and snow in San Francisco CA.?

Another laughable moment came for me when they first started talking about the storm. One of the charcters says something like; " This report came from the weather bureau and those guys know what they are talking about!" If I were the actor who had to say those lines it would be really hard for me to keep from laughing sarcastically. If they can't get the weather right in 2013 I imagine they were far worse in the time period this movie was made.

So true! After seeing those really, FAKE icicles I knew that I wanted to rate & post on this movie board. The film was like a bad car wreck....you couldn't turn away!! Watching well groomed Alexis Smith always showing up again & again on 'these guy's job' drove me bats!!
