Scooby doo inspired by the eastside kids?

Who else thinks so? A lot of the episodes see the group of kids ending up in a spooky mansion of some kind. Classic comedy magic.

This actually reminded me of that Family Guy episode where they were all young kids and had to stay in the haunted house. I wonder if this movie inspired that including the part with the skull on the stick as a ghost.

that really fits the image of this movie now that you mention it, takes me right back to scenes in it. the family guy comment reminds me, wasn't there also a scooby doo junior show and flintstones junior show that came later on, did anyone actually like that? this seemed a bit similar to "bela lugosi meets a brooklyn gorilla" in the way that some kids doing comedy bits and meeting the mysterious fella lugosi is playing. for a movie featured in something called the horror collection this seemed very innocent, this was like a kids party.

at the drive in,
in the eve summer breeze,
got heat on the seats beside me,
i dont know what the movie is about,
cause with lucy and madeleine in the cadillac got all i want,
like flowers came runnin from the field and placed on each side,
at the drive in order burgers and fries,
delivered on a tray by a waitress walkin by,
dont need to get out of the shiny red car all night,
what in the world happened at the double bill,
even forgot the titles being screened,
with my favorite darlins at the drive in.
