too late to vote now, but this is the first I've heard of a remake so I wonder if its still on the burner.

Don't remake any of the 14 movies Powell and Loy did together. They would pale in comparison. Can you imagine a better cast for Libeled Lady or Love Crazy or I Love You Again? For that matter, don't remake most of the films from 30s-50s...
