Very good movie if you like old war movies or even 1940s movies.

His amazing shooting reminded me of Robin Hood. Too good to be true.

I love old war movies AND 1940s movies, but I didn't much care for this. The early backwoods stuff was tiresome (and went on forever) and the later war sequences only marginally more engaging. Not one of Coopers better performances IMO. 4/10

I agree that the first part was slow but I enjoyed it.
