Hope at his best

This is one of Hope's funniest movies and it's a shame it has been out of circulation for years. Elliott Nugent was an underrated director. I've noticed that Nugent's Hope comedies are always very fast-paced and tightly edited, with the movie becoming more funny as it goes along rather than less... Case in point - Nugent's "My Favorite Brunette."

You are right about your comparison, this film was great, saw it on TCM the other night and it along with My Favorite Brunette are very good. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this film, a classic that i had not seen.
