Gracie sans George...

I have to disagree with many of the others who have posted a dislike for Gracie in this movie. Personally, I thought many times that it was a great deal of fun to see her get a chance to perform her hairbrained schtick without George there to feed her all the same old lines about her "brother," etc. I wondered how this was going to work, but I feel it did work. Not that I don't like George, because I do. But this was good for a change. I see no reason to try to compare this to the popular Thin Man series...they are as different as night and day. This is more of a "B" movie and the Thin Man series was "A" all the way. I was also amused at the final scenes where she basically "solved" everything without realizing that was what she was doing. She was an excellent commedian and I think very enjoyable in this version of Mr. & Mrs. North.
