Dorothy Parker

The three listed writers, Leonard Speigelglass, Casey Robinson and Jerry Wald were all heavy hitters. I always thought Speigelglass and Robinson worked for MGM. Wald was a notorious accumulator, that is he had writers working for him and he'd put his name on their work Possibly this was an MGM project which they sold to Wald or Warner's. To get to Dorothy Parker, I speculate that any number of hands have played in this sandbox. I thought that Dorothy Parker may have made a pass at this at one time because one of her trademarks was whenever a man was leaving a woman, inevitably they'd leave "for Detroit". Its slim, I'll admit, but if someone has any definitive information I'd appreciate it.
