Communistic Theme? Hardly. It's a Classic Frank Capra movie about the power of the media synonomous with politics.

This Frank Capra Classic apparently fell into public domain in 1969, (due to the original U.S. 28 year copyright law), regardless it is a treat to watch as it's running theme about the news media, and there responsibility in accurate reporting and the power of the people. It deals with the same issues we have been dealing with most recently with lying political figures to insight violence on Capitol Hill and news organizations spreading lies like FOX News. Our past election in 2020 is an example when an opposing political party repeatedly often accused liberals of being communistic or socialistic with their attempt in helping the poor and the homeless, and passing child care reform. Two classic lines of dialog are said and an interesting comparison and reference is made of the Christ Consciousness when the character, Ann Mitchell rushes atop the bell tower to rescue John Doe from suicide as people gather below on Christmas Eve, as she say's "We already had a John Doe who already died for the sake of our humanity.". As John Doe decides not to do himself in, the newspaper Bulletin's publisher, D. B. Norton says,"There you are, Norton! The people! Try and lick that!" At the time of writing this review in July of 2022, let's hope the power of the people will know right from wrong in 2024 when we vote in the next U.S. Presidential election.
