I thought it was a good movie. however I hated the fact that Jerry was killed. :/ I guess it's a sign of a good film when your emotionally invested in it. but damn it!! when I found out Joan's character died I was devestated.

I was devastated, too. Then, Thorndike parachuting into Germany was really lame, because he didn't speak German. He wouldn't have lasted a day without civilian clothes, papers, and the ability to converse in German.
shareLol - agreed. Very lame ending indeed. The only thing they managed to get right were the deaths as they were pretty effective. The love story was just thrown in and weak overall but the parting scene was done pretty well.

I thought the film was excellent until the ending. It took it down from a 9 to an 8 for me. Still I thought it was a fine film up until then. Great cast.
shareI was looking forward to seeing this but I ended up fast-forwarding through the Pidgeon/Bennett scenes. Good job by George Sanders, but the ending was a mistake. 6/10, barely.
