In the fight with Ward Bond, Wayne loses his hat. When he picks up Frances Dee, he's wearing it again with no shot of him putting it back on.

Wow, John Wayne lost his hat in a fight. And the camera didn't show him putting it back on. What a major plot hole!

Help stamp out and do away with redundancy

He does an even better trick in THE ALAMO where he pulls a drunk off a bench, and the drunk immediately disappears!

I don't really know why people call those goofs. Some goofs are mistakes but many, like this one, can clearly be attributed to editing. After the fight, Lynn is seen turning in the direction where his hat had fallen. The next shot is of Sabra. As she approaches him he can be seen putting his hat on his head.

It may have been an edit to remove the unnecessary shot of him picking up his hat and putting it on or it was an edit to splice together two good takes. You have a keen eye but I don't really consider it a goof.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
