Sightless gag

The scene where Powell is up in the tree wearing just a sheet trying to recover his watch from the parrot. He falls, but a branch catches the sheet and snaps it right back up. The laughter below as he falls au naturel (hopefully into the pool) is superb. That's one of the best.
The slapstick in this film approached that of the Marxes or Stooges. And Sig Rumann actually made it into this film.
Excellent comedy. Powell and Loy had so many great films together.

 Little did he know that the bird would help his effort to look crazy.

I'm impressed with how, at least part of the time, the actors did their own stunts. I noticed when Ward Willoughby/Jack Carson slipped on the rug and fell they didn't need to change camera shots to show him getting up.

Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.

Jack Carson did his own stunt on the rug, but it was obviously William Powell's double taking the pratfall when Powell's character fell. Gail Patrick (who played his ex-girlfriend) said they had to use wires on her in the elevator when she was supposed to be step up onto his shoulders, because Powell wasn't at 100% strength after his cancer battle).

I thought the entire cast was great in this, right down to the guy who played Gail Patrick's husband.
