Was anybody besides me really irritated at Andy for leaving Betsy waiting in that car for hours and hours... and he didn't even explain or apologise to her?! He really treated her badly throughout the movie, and she was so beautiful and kind...

That was kind of the point... Andy had a lot of growing up to do...and he did.
