Wonderful musical score

The main theme of this movie has haunted me for many years--but no one apparently received screen credit, and IMDB lists a half dozen "original music" credits. Does anyone know who actually composed the title music?

I don't know about the music that plays during the opening credits (if that's what you meant), but the main theme that plays during the first part of the movie is called "With the Wind and the Rain in Her Hair," or something to that effect. You can hear it in other Sturges movies, too.

I found it. The main theme is Rodgers & Hart's "Isn`t is Romantic". There is a beautiful version by Ella Fitzgerald.

Now i have to try to see the movie again. The song I had in mind was "With the Wind and the Rain in her Hair," and now I'm wondering where they use the R&H tune, which is one of my favorites.

Thanks to those who provided this information!

If anyone's not sure which melody is being discussed, google "with the wind and the rain in her hair." You should be able to find quite a few sites with a sample of it played by a jazz band.

EDIT: I guess I haven't watched this movie recently enough, because this *is* the song that plays during the opening credits, along with an "exotic" melody.
