Too many taps in Fascinating Rhythm sequence?

As I'm watching Eleanor Powell with her dog dance "Fascinating Rhythm"--it seemed to me there were just too many taps in excess of Eleanor Powell's actually dance. Out of sync or what--I don't know. In the 'goofs' section someone points out that taps continue as she is on her head and off her feet doing cartwheels. (I hate to believe Fred Astaire or the Nicholas Brothers or even the Berry Brothers would let that kind of mistake creep in.)

I actually came here for the exact same reason. It was bad. Really bad. I couldn't even concentrate on the movie anymore. I hope that Foley person never found work again. It was beyond amateurish. Not only did the taps keep going when there was no tapping on screen, they rarely synced with the tapping that was actually occurring.
