Horror film with comic relief

King Of The Zombies is one of the best of the 50 films on the 12-DVD Horror set currently available in many stores. I've found that a lot of my favorite horror films have elements of comedy in them (The Shining, The Exorcist, Nightmare On Elm Street, etc.)
The characters Jefferson and Samantha are so funny and likeable in this film. I can relate to them and that makes the pure evil going on around them seem so much more scary!
Overall a very fun scary film.

it's always good to have some comedy thrown in with you're horror.

that's the same set i got as well, and i agree it's one of the most enjoyable i've seen so far, though since i have only started on the box this comment put a bit of a damper on the rest. what an early flick to have zombie in the title, the only prior i can think of is the bela lugosi 1930's flick, as this was featured in the dvd box got including mostly b movie 50 dvd pack, i was surprised how well made this appeared right from the start with the airplane, the butler offers alot of screen presence in a pretty pale cast, his part was great fun and given the best lines, i mean this is his show, isn't it, he is clearly the lead and has the most screen time, then he meets up with others with african origin, i could hardly believe what i was watching, like a 1940's flick aimed at that audience, it also kind of make fun of the zombie genre... how incredibly before its time is this? this movie seems to have been a major influence on the later b flick "i eat your skin" a.k.a. "zombie island", check that out if you want a similar piece but less of quality.

I've got this on an individual DVD. I like Jeff too. Great comic performance. I must watch this one again and give it a rating.
